3.8 Million Trees Cut Down in China Each Year

“A culture is no better than how it treats its woods.”
– W.H. Auden

This is not an accusatory finger-pointing rant. It’s more like a ‘Hey, we need to educate ourselves and make a change” kind of post.

Did you know that 3.8 million trees are cut down in China each year? And why? For the 57 billion pairs of DISPOSABLE chopsticks in our homes and restaurants. Yes, they are biodegradable, but seriously… 3.8 million trees every year! It’s time to find reusable chopsticks.
